Boozer concluded the game with an outstanding 27 points, marking the eighth occasion this season where he has scored 25 or more points. This remarkable achievement places him at the top of all players in Division I, firmly establishing him as the most productive freshman across the nation.

On that fateful Tuesday night, he missed only two shots, while also contributing eight rebounds, four assists, and two steals, showcasing his all-around game.
This victory improved Duke's overall record to 14 wins and just one loss, with a perfect 3-0 standing in the ACC. Currently, Boozer leads the conference with an impressive scoring average of 23.0 points per game, along with 9.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists.
Initially, the Cardinals (11-4) seemed to have the advantage, shooting 47% in the first half and entering halftime with a 47-38 lead. However, Duke's defense ramped up in the second half, restricting Louisville to a mere 32% shooting performance after the break.
